Mobile Application Privacy Policy

This privacy policy governs your use of a software application (“Application”) on a mobile device that was created by DM (Dmytro Mishchenko). The Application includes the following software applications: “Taki”, “Telnet/SSH”, “Network monitor”, “FTP”, “Keycodes”.

DM is very concerned for the privacy of the users of our products. To this extent, no user information is collected except when necessary for using a specific feature of our products. The only time information is requested other than listed here is for use in troubleshooting technical issues and of course the user has the option to refuse in that case (though that may negatively effect our ability to resolve any issues).

 

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

User Provided Information – The Application obtains the information you provide when you download, configure and use the Application.

Taki.

SIP accounts settings. To provide SIP communication functionality, application is expected to use authentication credentials, host and other settings of SIP service provider. For your convenience this information is stored locally on your device in application folder. This information is transferred to SIP provider according to SIP standard specifications. DM in any way is not responsible for information you have shared with SIP provider or information collected by SIP provider. Providers should be contacted directly for information about their privacy policies.

Contacts. To provide possibility to make calls to recipients from your Address book, application is requesting your permissions to access your Contacts information. Only when these permissions granted application will use Contact information on your device. On devices where Application has no access to Contact information contacts records will be stored locally in application folder.

Call history. Application stores information about made calls locally on your device in application folder. Applications also provides possibility to clear call history.

Call recordings. When you request, application may record calls. Recordings are stored on your device in shared folder. Application explicitly asking your permissions to access shared folder and it’s your choice to grant these permissions. Application provides functionality to clear call history together with associated call recordings.

Telnet/SSH.

Account settings. To provide SSH, Telnet communication functionality, application is expected to use authentication credentials, host and other settings of SSH, Telnet service provider. For your convenience this information is stored locally on your device in application folder. This information is transferred to SSH, Telnet provider according to SSH, Telnet standards specifications. DM in any way is not responsible for information you have shared with SSH, Telnet provider or information collected by SSH, Telnet provider. Providers should be contacted directly for information about their privacy policies.

Network Monitor.

Function of collecting information from your device is a part of application functionality. This information displayed on the screen and only available while application runs. When application quits this information is cleared from memory.

FTP.

Account settings. To provide FTP communication functionality, application is required to use authentication credentials, host and other settings of FTP service provider. For your convenience this information is stored locally on your device in application folder. This information is transferred to FTP provider according to FTP standard specifications. DM in any way is not responsible for information you have shared with FTP provider or information collected by FTP provider. Providers should be contacted directly for information about their privacy policies.

Uploaded and Downloaded files can be stored on your device in a shared folder. Application explicitly asking your permissions to access shared folder and it’s your choice to grant these permissions. DM in any way is not responsible for contest you have downloaded from FTP provider or contest you have uploaded to FTP provider. Providers should be contacted directly for information about their privacy policies.

Keycodes – information entered with keyboard is displayed on the screen and only available while application runs. When application quits this information is cleared from memory.

Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?

This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

If someone has remote control of you device, he may potentially obtain any information stored on your device on in your device random access memory, including information produced by Application and Application generated data.

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information.

We will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you’d like us to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact us at arkadiamial@gmail.com and we will respond in a reasonable time. Please note that some or all of the User Provided Data may be required in order for the Application to function properly, and we may be required to retain certain information by law.

Forums and Social Networking Sites.

DM posts on several forums, mailing lists, bug tracking site, blogs, and Social Networking sites. DM does not collect information from any of these sites, they are only used as tools for communicating with our users. Any concerns about the privacy of information shared there should be directed to the site.

Links.

DM website and Application contain links to other sites. DM is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. If you have concerns about privacy, you should familiarize yourself with the site in question’s privacy policy before registering for any goods or services there.

Children.

We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at arkadiamail@gmail.com. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.

Security

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Application. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here http://taki.sourceforge.net/privacy-policy.htm. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes.
